Planning is key!

One key to living a healthier lifestyle is planning. We live in an environment where we want everything to be quick and simple (just like the internet). The cold hard truth about we as human is that in order for us to prosper and create something of value we need to find a regimen/consistency in our daily living. Of course it's not easy to stay on track with the outliers of the world in our way (friends, family, events, holidays), but I'm here to help. One way I've found to really help me stay on track with my diet is planning ahead. Every Sunday I take out three hours out of my life and utilize that time to cook my food in bulk. When I say "bulk" I mean cooking a weeks worth of food all at once. After I cook all the food I separate it, weigh it out according to the macros I've calculated for myself and put the meals into tupperware (while marking them according to the day they should be consumed). Yes this sounds like "a lot of work", but that's life. If you want to continue to be like everyone else stay where you are and watch tv on Sunday's. If you want prosper and be an outlier in a group of individuals then put in the extra time and plan ahead. Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays to you and your family from Uptown Fitness!
